Lighting
Some of the different types of lighting are as follows:
Fluorescent lighting – In this kind of light, electricity travels down a glass tube that is filled with mercury, giving off invisible lighting that interacts with the coating in the glass, resulting in the glass emitting a visible light.
Benefits to using fluorescent lights include their low energy usage, considering the large amount of light it produces. Newer bulbs are more flexible in the fact that they can fit into domestic properties with ease.
Incandescent lighting – The electrical current that passes through this type of lighting travels along the metal filament until it eventually becomes incandescent, ultimately giving off both light and heat. In contrast to that of the fluorescent light-bulb, this standard light is quite cheap and can be dimmed, however, this lighting gives off heat and isn't regarded as energy efficient.
Halogen lighting – The Halogen light is similar to that of the incandescent bulb, with the exception of there being a measure of halogen gas inside it. Halogen bulbs can become very hot, although they require less changing than that of the standard incandescent bulbs.
LED lighting – In this light, the electrical current is passed through a component called a diode, which can eventually emit light and becomes a Light Emitting Diode. LED's are regarded as both space and energy saving, and they can also only give off a small amount of heat. These lights tend to be longer-lasting and are significantly cheaper to use in the long run, though the initial cost is more expensive. As with the fluorescent bulbs, LED lights cannot be dimmed.
